The view on the website sold this to me, and I booked a trip a year before I intended to. Great location, two minutes from Monastiraki, ten from Syntagma, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I'm not a huge restaurant person or shopper but it all looked great. Nice hotel, unobtrusive staff, pleasant room. Nice roomy breakfast room: I only ever have cereal at breakfast, but there seemed to be plenty of choice for those with bigger appetites in the morning. As with all hotels and apartments everywhere, I found the bed too soft, but that's just me and my bad back complaining. Small balcony, not designed for sitting out of an evening: for that you go up to the lovely roof garden and have a beer or cocktail as the sky darkens and the city lights come on, and the Acropolis gazes down as she has for countless centuries. It was early May so the breeze was a bit cool by ten o'clock, but it's hard to tear yourself away. All around you the night sounds of the city ring out: music on the wind, cheering and clapping from nearby bars, laughter and voices echoing up from the lanes of Plaka.

Excellent location in a safe neighbourhood withi walking distance to the Acropolis , other ancient sites and quaint laneways full of souvenir shops. Browse first as the prices vary a lot from shop to shop. The breakfast is amazing, everything you could want and cooked fresh, they even have some gluten free bread, cakes and biscuits ,(basic but still appreciated) . The rooftop restaurant and bar with view to the Acropolis is priceless! It looks better than in photos and so close you feel it's nearly on top of you! They also organised for us an affordable taxi to Piraeus port for 25 euros. Bed was comfortable, room spotless clean. The room is small though, like the bed is too big for it. Good wifi connection but it stops working once you reach a certain limit. Great value for money!

The hotel is situated right in the center of the Plaka region, in the footsteps of the Acropolis. Walking distance to the Parthenon and the Acropolis Museum. I think you can get to all the main attractions just walking. I made a mistake while making the reservation, so we got a really small room instead of a proper 2-person room. But even so, the stay was pleasant and nice. Breakfast is good, although it gets crowded around the buffet sometimes. The rooftop restaurant has great views, very good food. But in my opinion a bit expensive. I guess the view has a cost.... I recommend staying here. It is worth the money.

The location of the hotel is perfect, in a quiet neighborhood in the old town. The room and bathroom was very clean and larger than we expected. The breakfast was also very good for us. The staff are extremely helpful and polite, During our stay there was a huge demonstration (everything was closed - no transportation) but we got extensive information about the strike a day before and continuously on that day too so we felt us in safe. The view from the roof bar is wonderful on the illuminated Acropolis in the evening. We are extremely satisfied. The hotel is highly recommended.

The location cannot be beat. It is in the middle of everything and anywhere you wish to go is around the corner. The views are stunning - from the roof top bar "Door in Athens" with the amazing Panagiotis as manager and maitre'd. The breakfast is excellent, fast and easy with fresh choices and a variety for everyone. We started in a corner room and there was a problem. The hotel staff moved us to a quieter room and we were very happy with that. The new room was a little bigger with no street noise so we slept soundly. We were content with the change.
